Here are just a few methods of activism anyone can partake in!

1) Speaking to your representatives

This could be by writing a letter, sending an Email or setting up a phone call. Writing a letter is generally more impactful than writing an Email because a letter is much more personal, and it shows how much you care about the issue.

2) Volunteering

There are numerous volunteer opportunities at grassroots organizations or political campaigns. I am currently a volunteer for Ramsey Robinson’s campaign for California governor.

3) Speaking out online

Whether it be by making videos, blogging or designing infographics, posting online will help you reach hundreds or possibly even thousands of people. It is important to be polite in your messaging, because people are much more likely to change their minds that way.

4) Protesting

Protesting on a weekday is the most effective, as this will disrupt the economy, and the pressure on lawmakers will be immediate, as they will most likely be in their offices at this time.

5) Pass out flyers, pamphlets and zines

Design your own, get them from an activist organization, or check out the library of flyers you can print right here on this website.
